Case Former and Packer for Tubs

The Polypack Wraparound machine is designed to form corrugated cases around tubs for distribution. In this configuration, tubs enter single file on the infeed conveyor and travel up the front conveyor, where an inverter can rotate the products 180 degrees vertically before they move onto the diverter conveyor. The diverter and diverter lane guide conveyor organize the tubs into the required number of lanes, while the starwheel assembly controls release timing into the picking unit staging conveyor. The picking units then stack the tubs in layers and transfer them onto the lane guide conveyor.

From there, the tubs move through the staging conveyors and staging mechanism, where a clamp and gate control bundle timing before the transfer pusher moves the stacked product group onto corrugated blanks placed by the picker arm. The lug conveyor carries the product-loaded blanks through the case-forming section, where the top box former, back flap glue gun and glue system form and seal the wraparound case. The completed cases then discharge from the machine on the discharge conveyor for downstream handling.
